AS make ridiculous claim Liverpool are interested in Real Madrid star

Spanish media has been in a bit of a frenzy over the last few days as it appears Sergio Ramos has had a big fallout with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.

A report by AS suggests the skipper is re-thinking his future and may move on from the club he’s spent 14 years with. The same report states Perez was laying into the players after their final La Liga fixture and Ramos snapped.

I’ve given everything and I’ve broken my face for this club and for you, but if you want to throw me you pay me and I’m going,” he’s apparently said.

The Real Madrid players had expected things to cool off after the fact, but it now seems that the captain is ready to walk away – and Liverpool, Manchester United, Juventus and an unknown Chinese club are reportedly all interested.

Apparently, according to the same report, Jurgen Klopp wants to pair Ramos with Virgil van Dijk and create the best defensive partnership in world football.

On paper – the Spaniard would be an excellent addition to the team, but he’d command a large transfer fee and exponential wages. The 33-year-old simply isn’t the type of player the Reds would sign.

I can, of course, be wrong, but can you seriously see the villain of Kyiv rocking up at Anfield in the summer? His presence in the squad would only stunt the growth of Joe Gomez.

Man United, however…
