Liverpool fans identify Alisson back-up to replace Mignolet

Liverpool are expected to be in the market for a new goalkeeper this summer with Simon Mignolet expected to depart the club after six years.

Neil Etheridge or an Alex McCarthy are names that have been floating about, but maybe the Champions League winners need not invest in a new stopper.

Kamil Grabara put in an impressive shift for Poland’s U21 team against Italy, and it has got a few Liverpool fans talking on social media.

The stopper has played a big part in his nation’s two victories in the youth tournament, and it hasn’t gone unnoticed. Federico Chiesa, who scored a belter in Italy’s previous game was denied of rescuing a point as Grabara pulled off an incredible save.

Working underneath Alisson at Anfield next season would surely take the 20-year-old goalkeeper to the next level, and Jurgen Klopp has previously shown faith in young members of the squad.

Grabara spent last season on loan with Denmark outfit AGF Aarhus in which the historic club finished ninth – well safe from relegation from the top flight.

He made 16 appearances for the senior squad last season – dare I say he’s probably ready for an outing in the League and FA Cups?
