Surprise as Champions League hero wants Liverpool exit – Report

Divock Origi’s agents are touting him around Europe in order to find the best possible destination away from Liverpool, report Estadio Deportivo.

And the Reds will consider any bids, they reckon – should the Belgian confirm his stance and tell Liverpool he sees his future elsewhere.

Estadio Deportivo claim Real Betis are very keen on Origi and have labeled him as one of the ‘jewels of the summer,’ due to his contract expiring in 2020.

Liverpool would prefer to keep the 24-year-old, but we may be pushed into action if the player expresses a loud interest to depart. The Express claim we’re looking to extend Origi’s contract, but that as of yet, nothing has been signed.

The cult-hero bagged a brace in Liverpool’s famous 4-0 semi-final thrashing of Barcelona and got the winner in the final v Spurs, to boot.

We reckon Origi will likely stay at Anfield. We’re not buying a new striker to compete with the starting front-three, but instead plan on using Origi and young Rhian Brewster as the rotation options.

Origi will get minutes in 2019/20 – and plenty of them – especially if we make it past the first games of the League and FA Cup – which we didn’t last term.
