Reds have allegedly “made contact” as L’Equipe issue update on Dembélé

L’Equipe have issued an update on the Ousmane Dembélé situation at Barcelona after Bayern Munich launched a reported bid for the 22-year-old and the Reds were also linked with a move for him.

The French outlet have declared that Dembélé has no wish to leave Barça this summer and wants to remain at Camp Nou for the upcoming season.

That is despite L’Equipe suggesting the Liverpool have also “made contact” with Barça in an attempt to sign him, as well as Get France Football News echoing the notion of “Jürgen Klopp in particular very much appreciating the player’s profile.”

Meanwhile, one Reds fan has suggested the reports should be dismissed out of hand as unrealistic.

However, L’Equipe have seemingly confirmed that the France winger is Bayern’s No. 1 summer target after talks with Manchester City’s Leroy Sané failed to advance after meetings with the German wingers team.

While PSG are likely to be disappointed in their attempts to include Neymar as part of a deal to land Dembélé and bring him back to France.

All in all, it is far from certain that Jürgen will make a move for him this summer, however much he may admire the skill and potential of the young winger.

After Bayern’s alleged €70 million bid was rejected, reports claim that it would take around €95 million for business to even begin to be conducted; and that’s if they even want to sell their costly attacker.
