Liverpool fans react to Coutinho removing Barcelona from his Instagram bio

The future of Philippe Coutinho is far from certain, and his latest activity on social media has got Liverpool fans talking.

The Brazilian has apparently taken ‘Barcelona’ out of his Instagram bio, but, truth be told, the Copa America winner didn’t actually ever have the Catalan club’s name displayed on his profile.

But Reds fans who want him back have been sent into a frenzy because of it – and they really shouldn’t get their hopes up on this one.

It does seem that the Little Magician may be on the move this summer though as his agent has recently spoken out about his dislike of Barcelona’s treatment of the current situation.

I was told they have no intention of selling him, that Barcelona have not spoken to anyone and that stories to the contrary are simply not true,” he told the Telegraph.

I will not let people talk about Philippe and put him down because for one-and-a-half years we have said nothing. All of us in Philippe’s camp will not let that happen because Barcelona have told us he is staying.

Coutinho’s camp are not actively looking to move him but we believe people inside Barcelona may be acting without authority to try and sell the player.

And the apparent social media activity has sent many Liverpool fans into a spin about the Brazillian.
