Unless you’re a fan of a direct rival of Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp is a very likeable man. He just says it as it is – and quite often he’s funny in doing so.
Well the German boss has revealed a rather humorous detail about the Reds’ Champions League parade in the city after the triumph in Madrid.
Videos were circulating of Klopp having fun on the bus by pouring beer over youngster Rhian Brewster’s head, when he wasn’t looking, and almost falling over the rails at one stage.
As quoted by Goal, the manager says that star goalkeeper Alisson Becker stole all of his beers! “By the way, people thought I was drunk on the bus,” the German boss told reporters. “But I was not, I had only had two beers. I just looked drunk – all the beers I should have had, Ali had!”
To be fair, the Brazilian look liked he’d had a bit of skin-full – well deserved after an incredible first season in our famous shirt!
The Reds ran out 2-0 winners in Madrid to lift the Champions League title for a sixth time – twice the amount of the next most successful British team.
Alisson starred in the final by denying the few chances Spurs carved out for themselves – so can’t blame the man for getting his buzz on!
