Divock Origi got the nod ahead of Rhian Brewster to start v Sevilla tonight – but didn’t have an exciting moment until the 25th minute.
Trent Alexander-Arnold intercepted the ball at right-back, before fizzing a ball into the Belgian’s feet.
Origi then span two defenders with a lovely pirouette before offloading to Jordan Henderson and starting a counter-attack.
The forward signed a new deal in the summer and he’ll have to offer this kind of creativity with his back to goal if he’s to get the minutes he desires this season following last term’s Champions League heroics!
A lovely piece of skill, nonetheless.
