Former Spurs boss makes flattering claim about LFC’s support

Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has recently been interviewed by Four Four Two magazine, and has had some great things to say about Liverpool.

In the Q&A with the magazine’s readers, the jam roly-poly enthusiast was asked which club he’d have liked to have managed – and his response was none other than the Reds.

It would have been interesting to see Niko Kranjcar running down the wing at Anfield, but we can only appreciate it when such an experienced man of the sport says nice things about our club.

Liverpool. With the fans and the atmosphere, it’s second to none,” Redknapp is quoted as saying by FFT, as per Live4Liverpool.

His son, Jamie, obviously played for the Reds, and no doubt played a part in his admiration of the Anfield club. He never got to fulfil his dream of managing Liverpool, but he surely looks back on his career with pride.

The manager had successful long-term stints at Portsmouth and Spurs, as well as fruitful ventures at Bournemouth, West Ham and QPR.

Seeing Redknapp in the dugout at Anfield would have been something to behold, but it’s something we likely will never see with the Reds right back at the top football’s Christmas tree.
