Liverpool fans will love what Harvey Elliott’s former team-mate said about him

Fulham forward Aleksandar Mitrovic liked what he saw of new Liverpool signing Harvey Elliott when the pair trained together in Surrey.

According to Sky Sports News legend Jim White, as per the Liverpool Echo, Mitro has seen enough of the youngster to know he’s going to be an exciting prospect for the future.

I was talking to Aleksandar Mitrovic the other day at Fulham and he was saying to me: ‘Harvey Elliott, wow’,” White said on Sky Sports News. “He’s someone that really excites him.

While it’s unclear just how much of an impression a 16-year-old made on senior striker Mitrovic, for him to even just notice him in training and think ‘wow’ says at lot about the Reds’ latest signing.

Liverpool are in the market for young talent this window, with Jurgen Klopp already capturing Sepp van den Berg from Eredivisie outfit PEC Zwolle for just under £2million.

Elliott, however, is a free transfer, but the Reds are expected to pay almost £10million after a tribunal – which would make the young winger’s move the most expensive of its kind in history.

Fulham wanted to keep the starlet at Craven Cottage, but the allure of Anfield was too much, and the Londoners will be hoping to be fairly compensated.
