When he first joined the club, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp told the players that they’re not allowed to touch the ‘This is Anfield’ sign in the tunnel at the stadium.
He said that they needed to earn that – they were required to win a trophy for the fans before the honour could be bestowed upon them.
The Reds won the Champions League trophy over the summer, I don’t know if you’ve heard, and now Jordan Henderson has rightly become the first Liverpool player in years to touch the sign.
