Liverpool are one of eight clubs being linked with a blockbuster move for Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz next summer.
SPORT1 journalist Florian Plettenberg has exclusively claimed Barcelona, Real, Man City, Chelsea, Man United, Liverpool, Bayern and Arsenal all want the potentially world-class playmaker, who is already starting and scoring goals for Germany aged 20.

A fee of around €100m would supposedly be enough for an attacker who scored 20 goals in all competitions last season – as a teenager.
In terms of talent, Havertz is in the same bracket as Jadon Sancho and Kylian Mbappe – which makes our interest very exciting.
He can play as a second-striker, a no.10 or even in midfield – so for Liverpool – would most naturally fit into a role as a creative no.8.
(Or dare we say it… The position of the eventual Coutinho replacement!)
The competition for his services though looks so extreme that a bidding war will likely ensue and we saw with this window just gone that Jurgen Klopp is very happy with the options at his disposal.
So whether we go all out for world-class talent next summer surely depends much on how successful we are this season.
