Statistics about LFC’s new kit make incredible reading – while the comparison to Everton is hilarious

Liverpool’s kits this season are proving exceptionally popular with supporters, with data from retail company Love the Sales revealing some interesting details.

Firstly, off the back of the Champions League win in Madrid, the home shirt is the most-bought in the UK since it’s release, selling almost double the amount compared to last season.

The goalkeeper shirt, perhaps due to the heroics of Alisson Becker last year, is also proving to be very popular – so popular, in fact, that more replicas of that have been sold than replicas of the Everton home shirt.

The goalkeeper shirt is also more popular among Reds fans than the Newcastle United and West Ham United home shirts are among their fans. It’s currently the 11th-most popular kit in the UK based on sales statistics.

All that bodes very well for the club as they seek an increased kit deal when the contract with New Balance runs out next summer.

Nike have recently been linked with being close to sealing a deal, and while that might be a little way off being official yet, these figures can only be a good thing in helping that mega-money contract edge closer to being agreed.
