Trent Alexander-Arnold’s quick thinking against Barcelona to set up the famous Divock Origi strike that helped to power the Reds into the Champions League final will go down in the history books as one of the most ingenious goals to ever be scored.
A couple of days ago, though, Kosovo, who face England in Southampton tomorrow, scored a very similar goal against the Czech Republic in Euro 2020 qualifying.

In minute 66, the ball went out for a corner, and before the Czech’s could organise themselves properly, Valon Berisha took on the role of Alexander-Arnold and Mergim Vojvoda turned into Origi.

Origi’s finish was better, and of course, was scored in a much more important game, but Kosovo must have been watching that game at Anfield a few months ago.
They, too, went on to win the game, beating their opponents by two goals to one to edge a step closer to next summer’s major tournament.
