It’s a great honour for the Reds to have two players in the line-up and shows how well the club is doing, but equally, it is is pretty much a popularity contest in some positions.

Jurgen Klopp won the Best Coach award, celebrating with a superb speech which is well worth a watch (click here for that), while he also managed to break the internet in the process.

Elsewhere, Lionel Messi beat Van Dijk to the Best Player award, which the pair were competing for alongside Ronaldo. It will just have to be the Ballon d’Or for Van Dijk, then!
