MK Dons boss reacts to very impressive young Reds – ‘Some lovely young talent’

MK Dons manager Paul Tisdale was full of praise for Liverpool after our 2-0 EFL Cup win last night.

The League One side fought valiantly, and really should have scored in the second-half, but goals from James Milner and Ki-Jana Hoever were enough for Liverpool to progress to the 4th Round.

We’ve been drawn to face Arsenal, but thankfully it’s at Anfield and we imagine Unai Emery will be selecting a rotated XI as well – which just about makes us favourites.

Tisdale has described Liverpool’s prodigies as ‘Lovely young talent,’ with 16-year-old Harvey Elliott, 18-year-old Curtis Jones and and 17-year-old Ki-Jana Hoever especially impressive.

James Pearce tweeted the quotes after the game:

Liverpool face Sheffield United at the weekend in the early Saturday kick-off, a time Jurgen Klopp openly despises!

And the Blades will provide a stiff test, as our rivals Everton know after losing to them at Goodison Park last weekend.

Klopp will be able to recall his first XI, however, all of whom stayed on Merseyside midweek and recuperated ahead of the Premier League fixture.

It’s vital we continue our winning ways.
