Premier League attacker on why Sadio Mane is ‘Best in world’

Ismaïla Sarr has raved about Liverpool’s no.10 Sadio Mane, calling our 27-year-old the world’s best footballer.

Sarr’s perhaps a little biased as he plays with Mane for Senegal, but based on the evidence of 2019, our superstar left-winger can’t be left out of the discussion!

He won the Champions League last season and was the joint top goalscorer in the Premier League, although unlike Mo Salah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, he didn’t need any penalties to bolster his tally.

21-year-old Sarr signed for struggling Watford in the summer, but hasn’t got off the mark yet in his three Premier League appearances.

“[Mane is] one of the best men in Africa and in the world,” Sarr told Watford’s YouTube channel .

“I can say that for me, he is the best player in the world. Because he is quality. He has won the Champions League .

“He has done everything for Liverpool and in all competitions, unfortunately not the Premier League but I hope he does at some point because for me, he’s the best African player in Europe.

“He plays well, he does everything well both in football and life.”

Mane limped off against Chelsea at the weekend, but thankfully has been back training and is likely to start against Sheffield United at Brammall Lane tomorrow lunchtime.

We look far less potent without him as part of the front-three, so very much hope he’s ready to join Salah and Roberto Firmino up top.

This term, Mane has four goals in the Premier League and two more in the Super Cup, making it six in total.

He has however not found the net for two games, which is a while for Mane, so we hope he gets back to scoring ways tomorrow lunchtime.
