Carra says Trent could play De Bruyne role in LFC midfield

Jamie Carragher has called Trent Alexander-Arnold Liverpool’s most ‘creative’ player, suggesting he’s already a ‘superstar’.

The ‘defender’ racks up assists for fun and what he offers the team from right-back is nothing short of extraordinary.

But Carra thinks in the future, Trent may move to midfield and offer the side a ‘Kevin de Bruyne’ like influence – as he has ‘more quality than Liverpool’s midfielders now’.

You can listen to Carra’s intriguing comments in the video below, taken just before our Champions League victory over Rb Salzburg.

We definitely think Trent could be developed into a midfielder in our system, most likely filling the spot currently occupied by Jordan Henderson to the right of Fabinho.

But right now, if it isn’t broke, why fix it?

Trent is doing extraordinary things from right-back, so let’s leave him there – especially when we have a number of midfielders all competing for playing time anyway.
