Manchester United’s best player cracks toe before Liverpool game

Paul Pogba is seemingly facing a race against time to be ready to face Liverpool at Old Trafford in just over a week’s time.

We face Manchester United on October 20 after the international break, in one of the most intriguing matches between the two sides in recent years.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds are eight wins from eight and going for the Premier League title, while Ole Gunnar Solksjaer is fighting for his job after United’s worse start to a campaign in 30 years.

The Daily Mail claim that Pogba will not have surgery, although he cracked the toe against Rochdale in the EFL Cup and made it worse by playing on it versus Arsenal…

Pogba is currently in Dubai on a rehab programme, but for Liverpool – it’s win win. Either the Frenchman starts but isn’t 100%, or he misses out and Fred takes his place alongside Scott McTominay – which doesn’t particularly scare us.

In truth, it’ll be the weakest United side for many a season – but last term we failed to translate dominance into goals and cannot make the same mistake again.

Mo Salah looks like he’ll be ready, with Liverpool allowing him to jet off this week and collect his award for GQ’s Middle East Man of the Year.
