Liverpool predicted XI v. Man United – Lovren could start

Liverpool are set to face bitter rivals Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend as the Reds seek to extend their 100% record.

In fact, if Liverpool manage to get all three points they will equal a league record set by Manchester City for consecutive victories in the PL.

Alisson and Mo Salah are expected to return to the fold after their respective injuries; with the Egyptian only missing the international break.

These two will be very useful in our fight for three points, and so this is how we predict the Reds will line up against United…

In net, we’ll finally see our Brazilian stopper return to the starting XI after Adrain put in a more than admirable effort for the best part of two months.

At the back, it’s not clear if Joel Matip will be available, but I’m going to suggest it’ll be a back four of Virgil van Dijk, Dejan Lovren, Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

In midfield, I expect nothing less than the usual suspects of Fabinho, Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson. Along with James Milner, the players have been the most reliable midfielders.

As we’re in the hunt for goals, the usual suspects of Salah, Sadio Mane and Bobby Firmino will start up-front.

I’d say there’s a slither of a chance that Divock Origi may be on the left flank with Mane on the right – but, as I said, Mo is expected to return to the fold.

[Edit – it now appears Matip may be fit to play!]
