We actually have a lot of time for Mark Goldbridge of the United Stand.
He’s funny, witty and usually has very nice things to say about Liverpool.
But to say he got it wrong back in 2018 when comparing United’s front-three to ours is a serious understatement!
In one of his famous rants, while selecting a combined XI, actually – Goldbridge says that, ‘Alexis Sanchez is better than Mane – Alexis Sanchez is better than Firmino. He is better than those players.’
‘If you had a new team, and you’re picking a combined XI, you’re telling me that you’re picking Mane or Firmino over Alexis Sanchez? Wake up and have some coffee.’
‘Alexis Sanchez is infinitely better. And that’s a fact.’
We’d suggest the fact United shipped the Chilean on loan to Inter Milan and are still paying some of his ludicrous wages just to get him away from Old Trafford is evidence that perhaps he isn’t Mark!
