What Jesus said to Firmino & Fabinho ahead of Man Utd clash

Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has said that he will be watching Premier League title rivals Liverpool face off against Manchester United this weekend.

The Brazilian was on international duty with Reds stars Bobby Firmino and Fabinho over the last couple of weeks, and has spoken to them about the big game.

Jesus bagged against Crystal Palace over the weekend as City closed the gap at the top of the table – and they’ll hope to keep it that way.

The forward has wished his international team-mates well ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, but admits that City will be chasing Liverpool.

I talk to Firmino and Fabinho last week. I said to them both ‘all the best’,he told Sky Sports (as per the MEN).

This season I think it will be the same [every game] because Liverpool are eight points in front of us. We have to try to win every game.

It’s hardly a surprise that Jesus says City are after winning every game, as they’re behind us at the minute, but it’s nice to hear he has a good relationship with Bobby and Fab.

Rivalries in football can often get a little over-heated, so it’s good to see that enemies at club level are still friends at an international level – the England team could perhaps learn something from the Brazilians.
