Real Madrid reportedly want Reds man Fabinho to replace Luka Modric next summer

Zinedine Zidane would like to sign Liverpool and Brazil midfield star Fabinho, according to reports in Spain (via Sports Mole), with Luka Modric’s long-term future at the Bernabeu uncertain.

Fabinho, who will make his 58th appearance for the Reds since signing from AS Monaco tomorrow against Manchester City, was reportedly wanted by Real Madrid over the summer, but there was no chance that Jurgen Klopp would let him go.

That stance, though, is unlikely to be any different next summer, while there is no suggestion that the player would like to leave. He and his wife, Rebeca, seem incredibly happy on Merseyside.

Real Madrid may well want Fabinho – who wouldn’t? – but there is no reason to think that the best holding midfielder in the world will be departing Anfield any time soon.

Fabinho is a vital part of the Reds side and will continue to be for the foreseeable future.
