Dortmund change tact on Sancho which opens possibility of mega January Liverpool deal

Borussia Dortmund are happy to offload Jadon Sancho in January, reports the Independent, despite previously wanting to wait until next summer.

The English teenager has fallen out with the German giants and is clearly desperate for a return to England, with the original article stating there is a ‘war in all directions’ with the club now keen to sell at the earliest possible opportunity so that his influence doesn’t negatively affect their season.

Jamie Carragher just yesterday explained how Liverpool should do all they can to sign Sancho this winter – due to the demand of games and goals on our front-three: Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

Sancho would theoretically provide wonderful cover to the best trio in world football – thanks to his pace, goals and assists – but under Jurgen Klopp, we rarely do big January business…

The Independent say Liverpool are keeping a watchful eye, but the £100m transfer fee they reportedly require seems a little steep for a youngster out of favour.

It would be very exciting if we bit the bullet and went for it – and Sancho’s arrival could undoubtedly allow for some rotation in the final months of the campaign.

The rest of Europe’s elite will likely be keen too, of course.
