Peter Crouch ruins Everton with accidental one-liner that sees Amazon Prime studio in creases

Peter Crouch had his Amazon Prime colleagues in stitches when he compared Everton to Andorra, by saying he understands how Mo Salah will have felt watching from the sidelines tonight.

The former Reds striker said that, when he was playing for England, he found himself frustrated sat on the bench as the Three Lions took on the ‘Tricolors’…

By saying this, he basically inferred that the difference between England and Andorra is a similar drop off in ability as Liverpool and Everton!

Obviously, Crouchy meant no offence, but it’s interesting to see how easy it was to compare the Blues to such a low-ranking international side…

To be fair, he wouldn’t be far off the mark as the Reds ran out strong winners at Anfield on Wednesday night, thrashing their rivals 5-2.

Divock Origi opened the scoring, and Sadio Mane made it two, before Everton clawed one back.

There was another goal by the Belgian, before Xherdan Shaqiri added a fourth and the visitors snatched another before half-time to make it 4-2.

It was a manic first half!

The second period of 45 minutes was a bit more tame, with Gini Wijnaldum finishing it off late on to make it 5-2 and seal what is an embarrassing night in Everton’s recent history.
