The Reds are off on their pre-season tour today. And, as is almost always the case these days, we get the chance to see exactly what the players are up to through the joys of social media… and that’s even without Jose Enrique being included in the squad.
Player-by-player guide to Liverpool’s 30-man tour squad – new faces, academy stars and more
Rodgers XI: Liverpool’s best team using only Brendan’s signings
Opinion: Liverpool will regret letting Sterling rot in the reserves, we must sell now
Liverpool fly to the Far East on Sunday, ahead of games against the Thailand All-Stars, Brisbane Roar, Adelaide United, and a Malaysian XI. The tour concludes with a match against HJK from Finland. The Reds then start our Premier League season against Stoke City on August 9th.
Raheem Sterling will, of course, not be part of the touring squad despite being named in the original 30-man party on Saturday. He’s widely believed to be closing in on a move to Manchester City, as reported by The Guardian.
However, there are still 29 excellent players for fans to look forward to seeing over the next couple of weeks and many of them have already taken to social media to commemorate their trip to Bangkok.
