Liverpool finally receive some positive injury news before Manchester City clash

This season has so far been Liverpool’s worst in recent memory for injuries, with manager Jurgen Klopp having to deal with multiple long-term absentees.

He’s not been able to call upon Daniel Sturridge, Joe Gomez, Danny Ings, Jordan Henderson or Jon Flanagan yet, while Christian Benteke, Roberto Firmino and Mamadou Sakho have all experienced problems too.

But thankfully, James Milner and Jordon Ibe have been ruled fit to face Manchester City on Saturday, reports the Guardian.

Both missed the international break with injuries, but should be available for the crunch trip to the Etihad. It’ll be James Milner’s first match against his old club, where he’ll be looking to improve on recent performances – while Ibe will hope for another start on the right wing following promising recent showings.

The City game has come too soon for Sturridge though, while the Echo hint that Henderson is also unlikely to feature – although the captain should be back at some point this month.
