Germany’s most recognised media outlet Bild (cited in the Echo) today report that Liverpool have made an official £10m offer to Schalke for starlet winger Leroy Sane.
The 19-year-old is a rumoured target of new manager Jurgen Klopp, Bild claim, having scored five goals so far this term for the Bundesliga outfit.
Sane made his Germany debut at the weekend during his country’s clash with France, due to his sensational form this season, and is also drawing interest from Man United according to the Express.
He plays on either flank, but has been mostly used on the right wing so far, where he’s also contributed four assists in 16 total season appearances.
Sane prides himself on his dribbling, exquisite touch and close control, but he’s still raw and gives the ball away too often. His talent is unquestionable though, and he’s exactly the kind of exciting player Liverpool should be targeting right now.
Jordon Ibe’s the only current natural option for the right wing, and if we were to sign Sane, we’d have two of Europe’s most talented right wingers on the books.
