Joe Allen and Jordon Ibe could both be set to sign for Watford this summer, according the the Guardian’s respected Liverpool-based reporter, Andy Hunter.
Both players are about to enter the final 12 months of their present deals.
Allen has largely impressed under Klopp, but although he has endeared himself to fans there are still questions marks over whether Brendan Rodgers’ favourite is good enough for the very highest level. He is certainly good enough for the squad, but he might not be willing to accept a bit part role.
Ibe has not managed to hit the heights of 12 months ago at any point this season. He is still very young, but Klopp might feel like moving him on to make more space in his squad – especially with Gotze seemingly edging closer to a move.
Neither player has yet spoken about a new deal with the club, and Watford are ready to test Klopp’s (and the players’) resolve.
Would you keep them or sell them? Might a loan move be beneficial for Ibe? Let us know in the comments…
