Liam Millar scored a hat-trick on his youth debut at the weekend.

The 16-year-old Canadian, who only arrived at the club in the summer, was the star of the show as we thrashed Blackburn U18s 4-0 on the opening day of the new season. (Echo)

He was brought in from Fulham.

It took him just four minutes to get up and running, as he drilled home after a lovely through ball. The second came after the break when he tapped in an easy chance, and he completed his hat-trick just four minutes later with another expert finish.

Glen MacAuley completed the rout shortly before full-time with a curling effort from the edge of the box.
