GK) Simon Mignolet – 6/10 – About an easy an evening as he’ll get this season.

DR) Nathaniel Clyne – 6/10 – Great assist for Firmino’s goal, far better than Saturday.

DC) Joel Matip – 8/10 – Calm and completely composed on the ball. Enjoys stepping out of defence. Promising.

DC) Dejan Lovren – 6/10 – Shaky early on, smooth from about 15 minutes onwards thankfully.

DL) James Milner – 7/10 – Great assist for Sturridge’s first, scored once he moved into midfield, tellingly.

DMC) Emre Can – 7/10 – Ran the game from deep. Thankfully the injury he limped off with doesn’t look serious.

MC) Jordan Henderson – 6/10 – Some dodgy passes but Henderson worked tremendously hard and was far better than at the weekend.

MC) Adam Lallana – 7/10 – Some beautiful turns as per usual, but wasn’t clinical when he needed to be. Still, an aesthetically pleasing show.

AMR) Sadio Mane – 9/10 – Two glorious assists, endless direct, running – 90 minutes of excellence.

AML) Roberto Firmino – 8/10 – Was good on the left and scored our second with his head. Doesn’t take long-shots, unlike Coutinho who usually plays here.

FC) Divock Origi – 7/10 – Missed chances but scored our opener with a deft back-heel finish.

SUBS:

Gini Wijnaldum – 6/10 – Some strong runs through midfield upon introduction.

Kevin Stewart – 6/10 – Solid and unspectacular.

Daniel Sturridge – 9/10 – Two goals during a very short but impressive cameo.
