Ahhh. Nothing like speaking your mind, eh Jurgen?!
Klopp has hilariously described himself as a “real lucky b*stard” when asked to describe how he felt to be in charge of Liverpool at the moment.
The comments were made to Goal.com on the Facebook page of club sponsors New Balance and cited via the Echo.
“Being here in the moment when the new stand is open, I have said a few times, obviously, I am a real lucky b******. I couldn’t imagine how good it will be,” he said.
“The atmosphere is better than before. It depends a little bit on our performance but we are quite confident we can have a few nice atmospheres here over the next few years.
“For me and for the players, it is a big honour working for this club, and it is a big pleasure playing in this stadium where all these fantastic guys have celebrated their performances and games.”
We are the third club Klopp has taken charge of. He spent seven years at Mainz and then a further seven years at Borussia Dortmund before making the leap to Anfield last October.
Since arriving he has revolutionised the squad. We are the top scorers in the league over the last 12 months and have seen a major boost in form since the new season began. We’ve also been runners-up in two cups and have added a new verve and pace to the attacking unit with some astute signings.
It’s fair to say that us fans are all “real lucky b*stards” too!
