Luis Suarez has ruled out a future return to Liverpool by insisting he wants to end his career with Barcelona.
The Uruguayan left us in a £75 million move in the summer of 2014, and has since gone on to be a huge hit at the Nou Camp.
He has so far made 108 appearances for Barcelona, scoring an amazing 93 goals and claiming an equally astonishing 55 assists.
He has also won the Champions League, two La Liga titles, and the Copa del Rey.
He had previously claimed that Liverpool were the only English side he would ever consider playing for, but it seems those prospects are now dead in the water. (Echo)
“I hope I can finish my career at Barca but I need to be at the highest level to compete,” he said.
“I have fought a lot in my life and, since coming to Barca, I am trying to enjoy it, be happy and win trophies.
“I’m in the best team in the world with the best players.”
He made the comments during a ceremony to receive the European Golden Shoe. He was given it after scoring 59 goals in 53 games for Barca last season.
It is the second time he has won the award after also being given it at the 2014 of our 2014 season.
