Firmino has crazy goal-bonus in Liverpool contract; big boost for West Ham clash

For some reason, it’s been Roberto Firmino’s contract which has been reported on Football Leaks, while the rest of Liverpool’s squad have remained untouched.

They broke the interesting news of his £83m release clause which includes an anti-Arsenal stipulation last week (via Independent), and now his goal bonus is going viral too.

Sport Bild reporter Michael Reis reports the story, which claims that if our Brazilian no.11 scores against West Ham today, he’ll earn a £45,000 bonus.

For his first five goals of the campaign, Firmino earned £25,000. For goals 6-10, he’ll earn the £45,000 which comes into fruition today. For goals 11-15, it’s £65,000 and every goal from no.16 earns £85,000 a pop.

Nice work if you can get it!

What impresses us most about this actually is that Firmino earns a mind-boggling sum every time he scores, but is still perhaps our most unselfish player!

He always prefers to pass when in the right position rather than shoot – a testament to his attitude and selflessness.

Saying that, we’d love to see him grab a bonus at Anfield today!
