Ex-Liverpool keeper with brutal opinion on Ranieri sacking; backs the decision

Wouldn’t you just love to be a fly on the changing room wall sometimes?

Whether that be to discover what really happened behind the scenes between Claudio Ranieri and his Leicester players or whether it be to find out why Alexander Doni has it in for the Italian manager.

The former Liverpool shot-stopper has launched a pretty scathing attack on Ranieri following his highly disputed dismissal by the reigning Premier League champions.

“Sooner or later everyone gets what they deserve,” he told Mundo Deportivo as quoted by the Liverpool Echo.

“Lies can only be covered up for so long, the truth will always [come] out.”

Doni played under Ranieri at Roma for three years but appears to have no sympathy for the man that led Leicester to their remarkable title win last season.

The Brazilian, who played for Liverpool between 2011 and 2013, gave little away with regards to what was behind this view but no matter what it was, his former manager deserved to be treated with more respect.

It was a disgusting decision and one that has angered the rest of football. Let’s just hope Jurgen Klopp’s men punish those in blue on Monday night.
