There should be no doubts with Liverpool fans that Jurgen Klopp has serious plans for Rhian Brewster, although we’ve not seen him near the first-team squad yet this season…
Today, the 17-year-old scored his second consecutive hat-trick at the U17 World Cup, which fired England into the weekend’s Final.
Naturally, fans have taken to Twitter to laud the prodigy, but it was a tweet from respected journalist Jonathan Northcroft that most quickly garnered our attention.
He claims that having spoke to someone earlier in the year about Klopp and Pep Lijnders’ opinion of Brewster, the response was pretty strong!
Klopp seems the perfect coach to nurture Brewster, who we actually rate as a higher talent than Ben Woodburn, who’s already scoring goals for Wales at senior level.
We’ve also got Dominic Solanke, Harry Wilson and Trent Alexander-Arnold – all of whom combined arguably make up the most talented bunch of youngsters at any club in the country.
But until they make it at Liverpool, they’re just potential.
