A quick rant against the Liverpool F.C. hating News Media

Posted by

I am sick and tired of the scum rags that just hate Liverpool with such a passion that they try everything to undermine us.

It is always doom and gloom whenever they report a story about Liverpool, they sure know how to get my blood boiling.

The Premiership has not even started yet and they are already ruling us out !!!!! What are they smoking? Manure lost 2 of their top players and replaced him with a reject from a Championship team yet all your hear are positive things about them. Manchester City are so good because they spent all this money on all these players but CAN THEY PLAY TOGETHER? Chelsea have Ancelotti who is going to lead them to glory this year, YOU SAID THAT LAST YEAR ABOUT SCOLARI.

Now they are even reporting that Rafa has no money this morning, they guys are doing heavy drugs down there at the Canary Wharf. No Money? We just sold Alonso & Albeloa for a total of £34 millions. We bought Johnson for £18 & Aquilani for £20 but the actual money the club paid to secure both players is less than £10 FOR BOTH!!!!!

Fellow Reds do not believe this media-crap, KEEP THE FAITH WE WILL WIN No. 19 this season.

Listen to Dirk Kuyt & Steven Gerrard.

  1. Totally agree Antoine, to the point that I don’t purchase a newspaper anymore.

The one that gets me is one of our players is always linked to a move days before we have a big match. Pathetic.

The Rafa bashing has also got beyond a joke.

It’s not a new thing. Back in the 80’s there was a campaign to have us start with a handicap because we were so good and it was apparently unfair on the other teams!!!

  2. Rafa Benitez: Give me money to strengthen squad – Liverpool FC latest
Aug 10 2009 by Ian Doyle, Liverpool Daily Post

RAFAEL BENITEZ will deliver a plea to Liverpool’s owners to release more transfer funds – as he allayed fears of an injury crisis in defence.

The Anfield manager has seen his efforts at squad strengthening hampered by the financial restraints currently placed upon him by American duo Tom Hicks and George Gillett.

While spending £37million to sign Glen Johnson and Alberto Aquilani, Benitez has effectively recouped that outlay with the sales of Xabi Alonso, Alvaro Arbeloa and reserve players such as Sebastian Leto, Jack Hobbs and Paul Anderson.

Benitez is determined to bring more players before the transfer window closes at the end of the month, with a centre-back the priority.

Liverpool have offered £6m for Hull City’s Michael Turner, but Tigers manager Phil Brown wants twice that amount.

Sylvain Distin of Portsmouth would be a cheaper alternative, while Benitez is also running the rule over Stoke City’s 21-year-old defender Ryan Shawcross. And of the subject of how much money there is available, Benitez said: “It is something I have to talk with the club about. We have some ideas and we have to discuss these ideas. We will see what will happen. We are talking about these things.

“We are working always. We try to be ready just in case (we can sign someone), but you never know. It depends on the prices.

“We know that with the Premier League and three other competitions it is really tough to manage and compete in. We are analysing the young players we have and we will see if we can improve and if we need something we will talk with the owners. We have to work with the players we have at this moment and keep working with the scouting department. The main thing for me is we have one week to work and prepare the players.”

It was expected that Benitez would be handed a transfer kitty of at least £20m this summer after Liverpool’s owners agreed a new refinancing package with the banks.

The Anfield manager was reluctant to go into details, but it was evident he believes his squad needs further investment to improve their chances of a first championship since 1990.

“We had some money but I will not talk about figures,” said Benitez. “On the record or off the record when you talk about figures I think it is clear. I will not say anything. I don’t have the answer.

“We are working hard with the players we have and the money we have. Always it is difficult to compete in the Premier League with clubs who have more money.”

    RESPONSE from a LIVERPOOL FAN

WHAT? MORE MONEY? DID HE SAY HE WANTS MORE MONEY? How about actually DEVELOPING the players you buy in the first place instead of selling them on because they cannot understand your instructions? This fella has had more money than another other team other than Citeh….and he is STILL complaining. Try and manage on a budjet similar to that of David Moyes – see if you can still finish in the top six and reach the Cup Final on a show string – then we will see how good a manager you are with no money and are left with having to get the most out of your players. Moan, moan, moan, moan, moan – This is just another excuse NOT to win the league again.

  3. We need to give our young players opportunity, Money or Not!! We identified talent when they were young, just like Owen, Jamie & Gerrard. We don’t need to bring in a 20 year olds when we have our own young lads.

  4. Before I start, I assure you I’m a lifelong Liverpool fan.

To be fair, I read an article yesterday in the Sunday Telegraph sport section which summarized all premiership teams for and their predicted final league position for the coming season – it had Liverpool 1st, Utd 2nd, Arsenal 3rd, Chelsea 4th!

Plus, there always seems to be a lot of coverage of Liverpool on Sky TV and the BBC news website – I’ve seen many non-Liverpool fans complaining about how biased the quantity of content is towards Liverpool.

The media do seem to like to rip into Rafa, though – I guess he’s an easy target because he uses the media to play mind games with the opposition, and often comes unstuck!

  5. We have this every season, no-one gives us a chance but in the long run let them think that and let the Reds just get on with the job in hand with the players we have got. Okay if we can bring in a couple more players then so be it but if not then the likes of Babel, Voronin and a couple of others will just have to step up to the plate and return the faith that Rafa and the Fans have put in them.
