Liverpool’s Raul Meireles scored a belter against Iceland on Tuesday evening in the Euro 2012 qualifier played in Reykjavik.
Portugal went on to win the game 3-1 with Cristiano Ronaldo (remember him?) and Postiga scoring the other two for the Portuguese while Helguson scored the only goal for Iceland.
if he can do that again at the weekend, in a red shirt, against the guys in blue shirts, I’ll be very happy!
That’s what you get from him…more goals, if we play him in the centre of midfield….

If only Hodgson knew that that is Meireles’s best position. Meireles is a good passer and can shoot goals like that. If he was in the center of midfield with Gerrard, we can play better.
hahah loved it, the goal and the way the commentators long stretch goalo! I used to live in Portugal and hearing the commentators brings back many great memories. Let’s hope Roy have the good sense of playing Raul in his favored position and get rid of Poulson – he’s crap.
