I have to run however I must say I am very proud of our Reds they fought hard for 60 mins after Howard Webb Red Carded Stevie.

Of course the Manc goal was a penalty after Berba dove and Howie rewarded him.

  1. I was pleased with Liverpool’s performance today. They
played as though they wanted to win. That in itself for me is just
what I had hoped for in this first match under Kenny. The penalty
was unlucky…just one of those things. You can’t tell me that Man
U wouldn’t have liked more goals and with us with only 10 men….
I’m delighted. Under Hodgson even with 11 men I think we’d have
lost by more goals and we would have given yet another lack lustre
performance. Good luck for the future Kenny.

  2. Umm were the bloody team that jst knocked you deluded
dippers out of the cup. And the misery continues…

  3. Was always going to be tough once Stevie was sent off. But
we actually played football today! And that too away from home
:D..a sign of better things to come?? I think so! YNWA

  4. Very positive display today only differance was a cheating
bulgarian twat, would be embarrass ed if that was one of our
    players.

  5. can’t say i’m surprised with webb’ decision. that man is a
liverpool hater through & through. thumbs up for the
lads, they played well as a team. hope this is a sign to a better
    future for LFC.

  6. The Shits had to Cheat to beat us 1 freaking nil in their
theatre of schemes. Man of the match Howard Webb. Those manure fans
should be wearing his kit tomorrow. For the Reds. They finally
played like Reds. King Kenny made 3 changes. All to move forward
and get that equaliser or even win. No bloody negative formations
or plans. Same team. Same players but different spirit. That’s what
we needed. A motivator. A leader of REDMEN. Finally we can really
say that the season begins from now onwards. Bring it on. I’m too
elated at the style and passion we showed to even care that we lost
to those shitheads. They were more worried that we would have
gotten the equaliser and they would have had to come to Anfield and
feel the fear. A penalty in the first minute from a dive which was
more deserving of that straight red. Berbatov made himself look
like an ass after the season he’s having. He officially became a
shithead. And a Red when a stern warning and a yellow would have
sufficed. Webb won the game for manure. Well done King Kenny. You
and the team have made us proud again. YNWA.

  7. First time all season I havent shaken my head at the
starting XII, when we were in trouble we didnt wait to make subs
til the 80th minute, we played some youngsters (and they looked
good as well), and most importantly everyone (cept nando) looked
like they wanted to be on the field. I am very pleased overall
today except with refereeing, but what can you do? Id like to see
us sell Fernando and use the money to help rebuid the squad. Bring
in some class players who will wear the shirt proudly. If you dont
count Chelsea, when was the last time you saw Torres put it all on
the line, leave everything he had out on the field? He just doesnt
seem to have the passion, and Im glad KK took him off. Maybe he is
trying to send a little message to Torres; being the starting
liverpool striker isnt a birth right, its a priviledge that you
better work your a** off for!

  8. ferguson looked sick as a parrot in ITV interview before
game though Webbs decision made for an easier day for them than I
think they would’ve got..if he was a proper ref he would’ve sent
off about six Dutch players in the World Cup Final…I’ve nothing
    against Holland mind U…

  9. Agreed Antoine. I was so proud but Gerrard needs to be on
the same page as the rest of us and not let the lads down. What a
difference the ball played to feet makes. Tears were flowing seeing
    the fans sing with pride

  10. good start for kenny even though we lost to webb, oh sorry
to man ure. when howard webb appeared that was going to ref this
match it was sure there would be a controversy. obviously against
liverpool positives 1. team spirit 2. changes (we haven’t seen two
substitutions at a time before) 3. introduction of youths. kelly
(as johnson’s wife giving birth) was man of the match and shelvey
pushed the team forward. 4. players contesting ref’s decisions 5.
supporters after the team during the game! come on reds

  11. Fail to see how the pundits called Berbatov a cheat for the
penatly then give him the man of the match award…. Kelly deserved
this award try and get your place back Mr. Johnson!!
