Barcelona could supposedly return to Liverpool for another of our top stars next year…
The ever-unreliable Metro have claimed that Barcelona want to sign Liverpool’s midfield diamond Jordan Henderson, following a series of impressive performances in front of the Catalan scouts in recent weeks.

Liverpool transfer news
Henderson has just 18 months to run on his current Anfield contact, although a new deal supposedly in the works. Nothing official has yet been announced however, and he is seemingly attracting the interest of potential suitors.
According to the source, Barcelona will wait until next January to make their move, by which time their transfer ban will have expired. They will then attempt to arrange a pre-contract agreement that will see the player move on a free that summer… yeah, we laughed as well.
However, while this rumour is clearly nothing more than bottom of the barrel paper talk, it’s an important wake-up call for Brendan Rodgers and co. We need to move quickly to tie down our current stars to new, long-term deals; keeping them out of the hands of our European rivals.
There has been plenty said about Raheem Sterling’s current contract situation in recent months, and the lack of progress has become a major source of frustration not only for Liverpool fans, but for management as well.
It’s important that we don’t throw away all the good work Rodgers has done by allowing his best players to leave for nothing. Henderson, who recently scored against both Burnley and Manchester City, has been widely tipped to be our next captain, and his continued presence is an integral factor in our future success!
