4) Mamadou Sakho
He has plenty of experience of wearing the armband. He wore it for the first time in 2007 while playing for Paris Saint Germain, becoming the club’s youngest ever captain. He became PSG’s permanent skipper at the start of the 2010-11 season and enjoyed plenty of success in the role – including winning the Ligue 1 title in 2013. He has also also captained the French national team at every youth level, so the armband could bring out the best in him.
