As we’ve covered elsewhere on the site, it looks like we’re going to make Serbian starlet Marko Grujic the first signing of the new Klopp era, according to Mondo.
The 19-year-old Red Star Belgrade midfielder is reportedly set to agree terms on a £4.3 million switch, with the player arriving at Melwood in the summer.
With that in mind, we take a look at some video footage of the finest moments in his career to date:
He clearly had it from a young age. The above video is from an academy match at Red Star Belgrade six years ago – making Grujic about 13 years old at the time. The producer of the video has highlighted Grujic in yellow, and a quick watch through shows someone who already had extraordinary vision and control.
Jumping forward to more recent times, check out this absolutely storming goal that he scored against FK Rad back in mid-October.
It was the first goal of the game, with Red Star going on to win 3-0.
Even more recently, he banged in this goal during a cup game against Čukarički a mere ten days ago. Granted, it lacks the same wow-factor as the previous strike, but the ease with which he powers past the defender before firing into the bottom corner from a tight angle proves he can score all kinds of goals – an unquestionably important asset.
Another world-class goal, not bad from a 19-year-old. Red Star try a fancy corner routine, with the ball eventually finding its way to Grujic.
He wastes no time in smashing the ball into the top corner on the volley. It’s a wonderfully accurate finish, not the mention the venom with which he hits it.
No highlights round-up would be complete without the obligatory video of tricks, flicks, skills, and goals… Enjoy!
