Twitter reaction: Players delighted with Stoke win, but know there’s still work to do

Posted by

Our squad are understandably considerably more pleased with themselves after Tuesday night’s 1-0 win over Stoke than they were after our 2-0 loss to West Ham at the weekend.

Jordon Ibe scored the only goal of the game eight minutes before the break. It was his third senior goal in a Liverpool shirt and his second in this season’s League Cup (he also scored in our 6-1 rout of Southampton in the quarter-final).

It’s now become customary for players to offer their immediate thoughts on a match on Twitter, and our latest outing was no different.

First out of the block was left back Moreno, who had another solid game at full-back:

Clyne quickly followed, adding that although he knew we’d done well, there was still work ahead:

Meanwhile, Mignolet celebrated the win on Instagram, but also warned the job was also half done. (Also, check out some of comments, people aren’t happy with his timewasting!)

Superb performance by everyone tonight, away fans included as always! Job only half done. #YNWA #cleansheet
