(Image) Gotze skulks away from Bayern celebrations after German Cup win

Bayern Munich secured a German league and cup double last night with a penalty victory over Borussia Dortmund having already clinched the Bundesliga title.

But Mario Gotze, who broke a rib and couldn’t participate, didn’t want to be part of celebrations – in another sign that he’s set for pastures new.

The 23-year-old was seen walking off to the sidelines while his team-mates all gestured to the crowd.

Recently, Gotze’s international manager Joachim Lowe suggested that Gotze should leave Bayern to play for a manager who loves him.

“Mario need a coach who makes him feel important for the team,” the World Cup winner said (talkSPORT), with Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool’s interest very well publicised.

We haven’t got European football to offer, so hopefully Gotze will be swayed by Klopp’s project and the chance to become part of a brilliant journey.
