Liverpool’s most high profile pre-season friendly will take place at Wembley this summer.

Jurgen Klopp’s Reds will take on Barcelona – fresh off the back of a domestic double – armed with Luis Suarez, Lionel Messi and Neymar.

It’ll be the first time Suarez has played us since leaving to join Los Cules in 2014, where he’s already bagged a quite staggering 84 goals in 96 matches – bettering his Liverpool tally (82) already.

The match will take place Saturday, August 6, with kick off at 5pm, the Echo confirms. The fixture is part of the International Champions Cup, a friendly competition in which we’re also facing Chelsea and AC Milan over in America beforehand.

Season ticket owners can buy tickets on June 1 at www.ticketmaster.co.uk and the rest will be made available to the general public on June 3rd. Adults get in for £26, and juniors can see us take on the world’s best for £15. Despite the fact it’s a friendly, Wembley will likely be jam-packed.

Hopefully by that point, there’ll be a number of exciting new Liverpool signing to check out on English shores for the first time.
