Four of our five players in the England squad were involved as Hodgson’s men beat Portugal in their final pre-Euros warm-up game.

James Milner started, while Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana and Daniel Sturridge all came off the bench in the second half.

The only Liverpool player not to be involved was Nathaniel Clyne at right-back, with Hodgson opting to play Spurs’ Kyle Walker for the whole 90 minutes.

Milner was eventually replaced by Wilshere with 25 minutes remaining. Sturridge and Lallana played the last 12 minutes after coming on for Rooney and Kane, while Henderson was an injury-time replacement for Deli Alli. (via BBC)

The result means Hodgson has was all three of England’s warm-up matches; they beat both Turkey and Australia 2-1 prior tonight’s game.

In the end it was a lucky win, as United’s Chris Smalling headed home Raheem Sterling’s cross in the 86th minute.
