Agent ‘assured’ that Balotelli will ‘100%’ make Besiktas switch

It’s hard to argue that Mario Balotelli has no future at Liverpool whatsoever, and it seems like the Italian striker could finally be set for a permanent exit from Anfield, according to the Mirror.

The 25-year-old was unquestionably a failed experiment by Brendan Rodgers, with the £16m (via the Mirror) gamble most certainly not paying off. After spending last season on loan with AC Milan though, it looks like we’ll be getting the controversial striker off our books by moving him on to Turkish side Besiktas.

His agent Mino Raiola has been in contact with Besiktas president Fikret Orman, and claims that the deal is 100% going to go through (via Calciomercato).

“I’ve offered Mario to Besiktas and I am waiting for their answer,” he said.

“But I’m quite sure the transfer will happen, as the president already assured me in the past that he would do everything he can to sign him.

“I see a 100% chance that the deal will go through.”

Balotelli scored just four goals in 28 appearances for Liverpool, which is shocking however you look at it. If the former Manchester City man offered more than just goals then you might be a little more forgiving, but he really doesn’t bring anything to the team.

He certainly doesn’t seem like the type of player that would suit Jurgen Klopp, so if we really are able to offload him to Besiktas then it’s fantastic news.
