Why were we ever worried?
Let’s be fair to Mignolet, he had a good first half.
Commanding in the air, didn’t flap at anything, helpless for Arsenal’s goal, and a wonderful penalty save.
Just as Coutinho’s made a habit of scoring opening day wonder goals, Mignolet is quickly making a habit of making opening day penalty saves.
He did it against Stoke in 2013, and he’s done it again today.

To be fair to Walcott, it wasn’t a bad penalty. Not great – but far from rubbish. He hit hard and direct to Simon’s right side, but the Belgian got a great hand on it to push it away to safety.
