Dropped goalkeeper intelligently highlights how Liverpool can beat Hull

He might be forced to settle for a place on the bench tomorrow, but it’s not stopped Simon Mignolet speaking about how he thinks we can beat Hull City in tomorrow afternoon’s game at Anfield.

He says it’s vital that we get in their faces from the first moment with a high-paced and fast tempo start.

It’s a policy that worked well against Chelsea and Leicester. Against Burnley, we never got going. And against Arsenal, we weren’t really at the races until Coutinho’s incredible freekick.

“We’ll have to put them under pressure from the very beginning and then hopefully we can keep that momentum throughout the game,” he said (Echo).

“The gaffer wants us to take the game to the opponents rather than to sit off and wait to see what happens.

“We want to start on the front foot and not give a breather to the opponents.”
