Important defender set to be fit for game against Swansea

Posted by

Dejan Lovren is fit and will be available for selection for the trip to Swansea next weekend.

He missed our thumping 5-1 win against Hull City on Saturday with a viral infection. However, he has now overcome it and is ready to take his place among the eleven – if he is called upon.

Summer signing Ragnar Klavan took his place last weekend, and according to the Echo, Klopp must now decide which of the two he wants to start at the Liberty Stadium.

Lovren has been one of our most important players since Klopp’s arrival. The turnaround from the player he was under Rodgers is quite remarkable.

He wrote himself into Anfield folk law last season with a towering last gasp winner against Klopp’s old side Borussia Dortmund at Anfield in the Europa League quarter-finals.
