Marko Grujic has no doubts over Liverpool decision – happy to be a Red

Marko Grujic has said he is delighted with his decision to join Liverpool.

The young Serb hasn’t seen many minutes on the training pitch so far this season, despite a hugely impressive pre-season campaign.

In fact, he has only seen 28 minutes of league football as he came on as a sub against both Burnley and Hull. He’s fared slightly better in the League Cup, playing 90 minutes of our 3-0 win over Derby in the Third Round a few weeks ago.

But even though Klopp is easing him into his new role at a snail’s pace, he says he is absolutely certain he made the right move.

“I love to learn and improve though and I’m definitely very happy with my choice of club. The atmosphere around Liverpool is great right now and I just want to get more and more minutes on the field to show my skills,” he said. (Echo)

Grujic was considered to be one of Europe’s top talents when we signed him last January. He was allowed to return to his old club Red Star Belgrade on loan until the summer, during which time he lifted the Serbian league title.

He played 90 minutes for the Serbia U21s yesterday.
